And As If That Last Blog Entry Wasn't Enough Proof That McCain and Palin Are Delusional......

Have you heard this week that McCain is threatening to "pull out" of the long-scheduled first round of presidential debates that were to be held tomorrow? Oh yeah...he feels it is more important to be in Washington weighing in on the entire financial debacle our country finds itself in (caused in no small part by cronies of his, but that's a WHOLE 'nother story, now isn't it?).

Interesting to note that this creepy old bastard did the same exact thing (or attempted to) way back in 2000 when it came time to take part in the California Presidential Debate. Oh. Really now. Seems like something of a pattern is emerging, doesn't it? Perhaps because he is....whats the word I am searching for.......SCARED SHITLESS?

I am so sick of this odd couple from Hell. And yet, I live in a neighborhood with two very large houses (which sold for quite a pretty penny back in the day, to be sure....) across the street from me with "McCain/Palin" yard placards prominently displayed....

I can't wait to get my own "Obama/Biden" yard placard (click that link to get yours today, kids!) in the mail next week. Will be interesting to see the neighbors sense of well-being disintegrate when mine goes up, considering all of them probably already consider me a dangerous individual anyway, what with my oh-so-threatening haircut and tattoos........

Palin Explains The Russia/Alaska Connection of her "Foreign Policy" Experience

So, we have all heard what I had originally thought (and hoped) was just a joke on SNL, that Palin actually believes that her proximity to to Russia by living in Alaska actually gives her some foreign policy experience. Here she tries to explain it. And - as noted by Joe Garofoli in the S.F. Chronicle - try to remember as you watch it that this could very well be your next Vice President, let alone your next President should someone kick the bucket.....

Good song, good performance. As someone who has seen NIN numerous times (including gigs from the smaller club days in the late 80s/early 90s), I highly recommend seeing them live.....

Laura Bush: Palin Lacks Foreign Policy Experience

Wow. Even though she makes a lame attempt to follow-up her statement with a small, shaking vote of confidence (probably elicited under the threat of physical harm from Bush-Boy himself...), to have the First Lady say this does not exactly tow the party line of "rah-rah-rah, we are the best choice" now does it?

Laura Bush: Palin lacks foreign policy experience

First lady Laura Bush says Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin lacks sufficient foreign policy experience but is a very quick study.

In an interview Wednesday with CNN, the first lady remarked that it's fortunate that Republican presidential nominee John McCain has foreign policy experience himself.

Still, Mrs. Bush says she has a lot of confidence in Palin. She says the Alaska governor has a lot of good common sense, and the first lady adds that she is thrilled to have a chance to vote for Palin on the GOP ticket.

Mrs. Bush also said that she thinks Palin is being treated unfairly because she is a woman. That, the first lady says, is to be expected.
